Our mission is to serve the homeless and reach out to women where they are, and in practical ways extend God’s love and hope through a personal relationship with Christ. Core Values:

We believe that addictions can be overcome through prayer, medical treatment, deep abiding healthy relationships and most of all, the power of God!

We believe that homelessness is a temporary condition that, when desired, can be overcome with personal healing, educational assistance, housing and employment.

Christina’s House is a faith based non-profit based organization started in April 2012. Christina’s House is designed to provide housing but more importantly to offer and provide emotional, spiritual, physical support and education for women and their children as they transition from homelessness to permanent, stable living environments. Christina’s House recognizes that each family is unique and will bring their own set of circumstances and needs to this home.  Volunteers and mentors will work together to address these specific needs.  Christina’s House expects that most families will remain in the home for a minimum of two years.

Allan and Tricia Beeber

Allan and Tricia serve with with Campus Crusade for Christ [www.cru.org] Tricia works in the Genl. Counsel’s Office as a lawyer assisting with IP and Trademark issues for the ministry. Allan is loaned full-time to Global Media Outreach, which is a global ministry presenting the good news of Jesus Christ online 24/7.

Our WLCC Mission Team works with those who would like to serve on a limited time mission trip that might last a short weekend or numerous months. Currently we are exploring trips to the Philippines, Peru, China, Tanzania, and you tell us!

An annual rite of passage for millions of families is Operation Christmas Child, the shoebox ministry managed by Samaritan’s Purse bringing hope to disadvantaged children around the world. For more than fifteen years, families across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries have had a wonderful opportunity to impact the lives of less fortunate children across the globe.

Through the ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization headed up by Franklin Graham, Operation Christmas Child has delivered more than 46 million shoeboxes filled with toys, personal hygiene items, booklets, school supplies, and other items not readily available locally to many of the recipients. What started out as a relatively small campaign to help homeless children in Romania has expanded into one of the largest relief and evangelical programs of its kind.

It isn’t too early to start thinking about how you and your family can participate with WLCC in this ministry – Operation Christmas Child is your opportunity to impact young lives as well as demonstrate to your family the real meaning of Christmas: giving!

Chartered in 1951, SRM is one of the oldest relief organizations in Springfield. The mission is a non-profit Christian human service agency which provides food, shelter and rehabilitation programs free of charge to destitute and homeless people.

The mission of The Gideons International is to win the lost for Christ, and our unique method is the distribution of Scripture in selected streams of life. Gideons have placed or distributed more than 1.3 billion complete Bibles and New Testaments in more than 180 countries around the world… so far. Having God’s Word can lead people to faith in Christ.

Rebecca (Forbes) Hopkins called WLCC her church-home for many years before she and her husband, Dave Hopkins, felt called to serve the LORD through Christian Camping. They now live in Wisconsin where Dave is Director of Guest Services for Camp Forest Springs. The camps’ mission is to “provide programs and facilities in a camping environment with a trained service-oriented staff who use the Word of God to help initiate faith and cultivate maturity in Jesus Christ.”

Becky is not officially on staff but she does her part to make campers feel welcome. That is, when she is not busy being Mom to: Carter, Moriah, John Henry, & Nellie Ruth.

Camp Forest Springs is unique in that most of the staff-members are responsible for raising their own support. This allows the camp to focus its financial resources on the campers while attracting committed, talented, and motivated individuals (like the Hopkins) to raise support and awareness of Christian camping throughout the country. Becky and Dave still think of WLCC as their “home” church but their impact spreads far beyond our 4-walls.
