Applying the Word of God in Our Everyday Lives

Weekly gatherings of 6-12 people in small groups that engage in the study and application of God’s word within the context of Christian community and discipleship. Small groups provide an opportunity to come to know Jesus deeper and experience His presence in community with others, while fostering honesty, growth and accountability.

What type of small groups are offered?

There are several types of small group we offer. Some are curriculum based and meet for a stated number of weeks. Others are book discussions with the length of the group determined by the book’s material. Most groups are open to all, but on occasion we do offer affinity groups such as couple’s, men’s, and woman’s studies as interest arises. We also offer discipleship groups that are designed to take you deeper into your understanding of scripture and what it means to follow Jesus in our modern day context.

Discipleship Essential Groups

We are presently forming Discipleship Essential groups of 3 or 4 men or woman. Our Discipleship Essential groups require a sustained commitment to regular meeting and home study. Our Discipleship Essential groups are intended to take believers deeper into Christian maturity and the understanding of what it means to be a disciple who follows Jesus’ command in the Great Commission. Discipleship Essentials Groups are formed individually based upon meeting schedule and personal availability. Because these groups are meant to foster intimate sharing, Discipleship Essential groups are either exclusively male or female.

Discovery Bible Studies

We are presently forming Discovery Bible Study (DBS) groups. (DBS) groups are designed to teach participants how to study the bible through a simple and transferable process. (DBS) groups are aimed at helping participants mature in their understanding and practical application of the Christian faith. (DBS) groups are part of our church’s overall commitment to discipleship as Jesus commanded.
